“En différé” brings together more than 500 digital and film photographs taken between 2016 and 2018. The edition has been conceived as a logbook in which I present a photographic practice that expanded when I arrived in Paris in September 2016. The edition is presented on fine paper that plays with transparencies, allowing it to be folded and then assembled, creating a slight visual shift. It opens with series of 4 still images, with the option of unfolding a more heterogeneous and complete view.
For me, this edition is similar to a self-portrait in which I show that I work from the world around me, my loved ones in particular and in a impulsive way. I use a variety of tools: digital cameras, compact cameras, film cameras, disposable cameras, telephones... I play with settings and deal with accidents, unforeseen events and oversights, which result from the spontaneous, "unmastered" gesture of my cameras, or conversely, I work on detail and intentionally retouch the photograph.
